Well friend it is NOT looking like Spring out there right now but heck.. I need some greenery and a bit of a change in my life! My winter decor is slowly fading and this weekend I just needed to refresh and recharge #TheMorganstonHouse to get ready for an influx of fresh air, and all the spring vibes!! (Well I hope so soon anyway!)

Today I’m sharing with you a little corner of my home that I have decorated for Spring. This Spring im pulled towards all the neutrals. Greens, Burlaps, Galvanized, Ivory.. all of these elements are giving me all the fresh, spring vibes. I also love textures. From books, to plants, to different kinds of metal, fabrics etc. I love how all of these elements really compliment each other in this space. These Vines in terracotta pots I have been nurturing for almost 2 years now, they head outside for the Summer and come in for the Winter which I love so I always have a bit of greenery in the House year round. These books and clock I picked from a local antique market and that sifter I picked as well (it is a staple in this vignette, I love how it gives the vignette a background and a bit of height!). A little tip for when you are styling a long flat space like this: layer. Not ‘on top of one another’ kind of layering, but think from a side to side angle. Stagger your pieces so they are not all lined up in a straight row, this gives some dimension when you look at the space head on. Also think of layering with background objects. And height! Height is your friend when you are styling vignettes. It gives the eye something to be drawn to and then work its way down! Oh and also, this Kraft Paper scroll is made by yours truly! (I will have some for sale soon in my Etsy Shop www.samanthaannandco.com) I just love the height and backdrop it gives this space!

If theres any tip I can give you when decorating for Spring my friend is to stay simple and stay true to what really makes you happy! I you love to go crazy with Easter bunnies & eggs.. go for it!! I will most likely bring out my few little bunnies closer to Easter to get into the holiday spirit! If you’re anything like me though you love the simplicity of natural elements and neutral colours so you can transition your space easily from winter to spring, and then soon spring to summer. It really is a balancing act! I hope this space serves as an inspiration point for you when decorating for Spring in the next few weeks!

Also get excited for not only Spring weather but Spring Yard Sales! You can take a peek at some Yard Sale tips I have here from last season. I just can’t wait to get to the Yard Sales and antique stores to find some treasures!! Let me know what you think of this space below in the comments, and tell me what you’re most excited for this Spring!! Thank you for stopping by the blog today my friend!! I love hanging out with you here!!

Sending you Spring vibes!

Talk soon,

Sam xx
